Kurt Russell (BMus):

Teacher: Piano, Music Production, and Theory.
Kurt is a pianist, producer, and session musician.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Music in piano from the Australian Institute of Music in 2012 and went on to teach and lecture at the Institute of Music between 2012 and 2017.
Kurt also has experience teaching students at both primary and secondary schools as well as music students preparing for the HSC.
Kurt has played a professional part in the Sydney music scene for six years, as both an employee of several corporate booking agencies and freelance work as a keyboardist performing in Sydney’s most popular venues such as The Beresford and Oxford Arts Factory. He has also worked extensively as a session keyboardist as part of an original blues band Dog the Duke recording at Hercules Street Studios as well as freelance work for 301 Studios, REC studios, and for Sony Music Aus.
Following a move to the United Kingdom, Kurt successfully auditioned for the role of house band keyboardist for Carnival Cruise Line and subsequently worked for Princess Cruise Lines. Kurt worked for two years on four separate cruise ships, traveling to the U.S.A, Central America, and Asia. This was a demanding job performing every evening and requiring strong sight-reading and band leadership skills.
